Congiunzioni (and / but / or)

and, but e or sono congiunzioni coordinanti che collegano parole, sintagmi e frasi grammaticalmente dello stesso livello, ed esprimono rispettivamente il rapporto di aggiunta, di contrasto e di scelta.

Spiegazione

and, but e or sono congiunzioni coordinanti che collegano parole, sintagmi e frasi grammaticalmente dello stesso livello, ed esprimono rispettivamente il rapporto di aggiunta, di contrasto e di scelta. Aggiungendo and o or dopo una frase imperativa nasce un valore condizionale, che permette di riformulare la frase con if o unless.

A.  Usi avanzati di and / but / or

gli elementi collegati da and, but e or suonano naturali quando hanno la stessa forma grammaticale, e in un elenco di tre o più elementi la congiunzione si mette solo davanti all'ultimo, mentre gli altri si separano con la virgola. and esprime l'aggiunta, but il contrasto, or la scelta o l'alternativa.

B.  Imperativa + and / or — valore condizionale
