to 不定詞 — 否定 (not, never)
要否定 to 不定詞時，一定要把 not 或 never 放在 to 的正前面，構成「不做、為了不做」的意思。像 do not 或 to don't 這種一般動詞的否定方式不能用在 to 不定詞上，這一點最容易搞混。

A. 否定的位置 — not / never + to + 原形動詞
to 不定詞的否定，一定要把 not 或 never 放在 to 的正前面來構成，這個順序一亂，句子就不成立。請把not + to 不定詞 這個公式整組記起來。never 表示比 not 更強的否定，可以譯成「絕不~」。

即使 to 不定詞用 for + 受格的形態帶上意義上的主詞，否定還是一樣要把 not 或 never 放在 to 的正前面。記住 for + 受格後面緊接著 not 的語序，就能大幅減少錯誤。
