Conjunções (when / while / before / after)

A.  when vs while — quando / enquanto

  • She smiled when she saw me. (Ela sorriu quando me viu.)
  • He fell asleep while he was watching TV. (Ele pegou no sono enquanto assistia à TV.)
  • Please be quiet while the baby is sleeping.

  • She called her mom after she got home.

Dentro das orações adverbiais de tempo·condição, como as de when·while·before·after·if, o fato futuro não leva will: usa-se o presente. Decore inteira a regra oração de tempo·condição: futuro → presente. Na oração principal o will continua normalmente.

(Ex.: before breakfast, after eating)
  3. 3Dentro das orações adverbiais de tempo·condição, como as de when·while·before·after·if, o fato futuro vai no presente, sem will. (Ex.: I'll call you when you arrive.)
(Ex.: I 'll call you when I get home.)
