關係詞 — 關係副詞
關係副詞 when·where·why·how 接在時間·地點·理由·方法的先行詞後面引導形容詞子句，用一個副詞來代替「介系詞 + 關係代名詞」。關係副詞子句是完整的子句，後面不會缺少名詞的位置。

A. 關係副詞的概念 — 先行詞 + 關係副詞 = 形容詞子句
關係副詞引導修飾先行詞(時間·地點·理由·方法)的形容詞子句，在子句裡扮演副詞的角色，所以後面的子句不會缺少名詞的位置。這一點和關係代名詞在子句裡代替主詞·受詞(名詞)的位置形成對比。

B. 四個關係副詞 — when·where·why·how
when 接時間、where 接地點、why 接理由、how 接方法，各自加在先行詞後面構成形容詞子句。how 不和 the way 一起用，兩者只能擇一。

C. 關係副詞 = 介系詞 + 關係代名詞
關係副詞可以換成「介系詞 + 關係代名詞(which)」的組合，在書面語·正式文體中這種組合很常用。記住 when = on which / where = in which 這樣的對應，閱讀就會變得輕鬆。
