ประโยคเสนอแนะ Let's ~ ของคำพูดโดยตรง เมื่อเป็นคำพูดโดยอ้อมจะเปลี่ยนคำกริยารายงานเป็น suggest หรือ propose แล้วต่อท้ายด้วย that + ประธาน + (should) + รูปพื้นฐานของคำกริยา หรือกรรมที่เป็นคำนาม (รูป -ing) เพราะเป็นการชวนกันทำ จึงมักมี we เป็นประธาน

B. suggest + that + ประธาน + (should) + รูปพื้นฐาน
เมื่อใช้อนุประโยค that หลัง suggest ให้ใส่ (should) + รูปพื้นฐานของคำกริยา ต่อจากประธาน Let's ~ → suggest (that) S + (should) + รูปพื้นฐาน ในภาษาพูดมักละ should และถึงละไปคำกริยาก็ยังคงเป็นรูปพื้นฐานอยู่ดี (รูปสมมติกาลปัจจุบัน)

C. แทนด้วย suggest + -ing (คำนามรูป -ing)
หลัง suggest สามารถใส่คำนาม (รูป -ing) เป็นกรรมโดยตรงแทนอนุประโยค that เพื่อให้กระชับขึ้นได้ ใช้บ่อยในภาษาพูด แต่ถ้าอยากระบุผู้กระทำให้ชัด อนุประโยค that จะชัดเจนกว่า

- 1ในการเปลี่ยนคำพูดของประโยคเสนอแนะ Let's ~ ให้ใช้ suggest หรือ propose เป็นคำกริยารายงาน ส่วน tell·say จะฟังดูไม่เป็นธรรมชาติ (เช่น He suggested (that) we go now.)
