Doğrudan anlatımdaki Let's öneri tümcesi, dolaylı anlatımda aktarma fiili suggest ya da propose olacak biçimde ve arkasına that + özne + (should) + to'suz mastar ya da -ing ad biçimi nesnesi eklenerek aktarılır.

Doğrudan anlatımdaki Let's ~ öneri tümcesi, dolaylı anlatımda aktarma fiili suggest ya da propose olacak biçimde ve arkasına that + özne + (should) + to'suz mastar ya da -ing ad biçimi nesnesi eklenerek aktarılır. Birlikte yapma çağrısı taşıdığı için özne çoğu kez we olur.
A. Let's ~ → suggest / propose ile aktarma
Let's ~ öneri tümcesi 'birlikte yapalım' çağrısını taşıdığı için dolaylı anlatımda aktarma fiili olarak suggest ya da propose kullanılır. suggest hem konuşma hem yazı dilinde en yaygın olanıdır; propose biraz daha resmî ve kurumsal önerilerde sık geçer.

B. suggest + that + özne + (should) + to'suz mastar
suggest sonrasında that yan tümcesi kullanılırken öznenin ardına (should) + to'suz mastar konur. Let's ~ → suggest (that) S + (should) + to'suz mastar. should konuşma dilinde sık sık düşer; düşse bile fiil bu biçimini korur (şimdiki zamanlı varsayım).

C. suggest + -ing (-ing ad biçimi) ile değiştirme
suggest sonrasına that yan tümcesi yerine doğrudan -ing ad biçimi nesne olarak konarak daha derli toplu bir anlatım kurulabilir. Konuşma dilinde sık kullanılır; işi kimin yapacağını netleştirmek isterseniz that yan tümcesi daha açıktır.
