Passiv - It ~ that-Satz

A.  It is + p.p. + that ~ — mit formalem Subjekt It

B.  S + be + p.p.

Die Formel lautet It is said that S ~ = S is said to ~.

Kernpunkte

  1. 1Verben wie say·think·believe·know·report·expect·consider, die einen that-Satz als Objekt nehmen, lassen sich mit zwei Passivfügungen ausdrücken: It ~ that und S is ~ to. (z. B. It is said that he is rich. = He is said to be rich.)
  2. 2In der Fügung It ~ that bleibt die Zeitstufe im that-Satz genau so wie im aktiven Original. (z. B. They say he is honest. → It is said that he is honest.)
  3. 3In der Fügung S is ~ to steht to + Grundform, wenn der that-Satz in derselben Zeitstufe liegt wie der Hauptsatz, und to have + p.p., wenn er davor liegt. (z. B. It is said that he was rich. → He is said to have been rich.)
(z. B. The company is expected to announce the results soon.)
