Spiegazione

Punti chiave

(esempio: He said, "I am busy." → He said that he was busy.)
  2. 2Quando il verbo introduttivo è al passato, il presente della citazione diventa passato, il passato diventa passato perfetto e will·can·may diventano would·could·might. (esempio: "I will come." → he would come.)
(esempio: He said (that) he was tired.)
  4. 4Poiché il punto di riferimento di «adesso» e «qui» passa da chi parlava a chi riferisce, si adeguano insieme anche now → then, here → there, today → that day, tomorrow → the next day, yesterday → the day before.
(esempio: He said the earth is round.)
