A. 一般先行詞後面的關係副詞省略
當先行詞是 the time·the day·the place·the reason 這類一般名詞時，關係副詞 when·where·why 常常會被省略，而意思維持不變。

B. the way 與 how — 只能擇一
表示方法時 the way 和 how 只能用其中一個，兩個一起用或是拉長成 the way in which，在會話中都會顯得不自然。請把 the way ~ / how ~ (只能擇一) 這條規則整組記起來。

C. 實戰語感 — 會話省略形 vs 正式文體
關係副詞的省略形在會話中短得多也自然得多，是日常對話的基本形，而在正式的文章裡則有時會把關係副詞保留下來。
